IIJ 5-01An IP controller operated D.C motor with eliminated overshoots and with a faster response to output

Abstract: In this paper in order to control speed of a DC motor for a sudden load change a DC motor is simulated by a new technological IP controller, it is difficult to reach at reference or desired set speed if we do not use any Controllers. This is because of higher overshoot occurs in speed when load increases. When DC motor is implemented with Controllers overshoot gets reduced and motor gives better response in terms of time parameters. IP Controller is most suitable if we consider overshoot reduction. It can reduce overshoots to zero percent (0%). PID Controller is best scheme if fastest response to load change is required but it contains overshoots making system less stable.

IIJ 5-02TECHNO-ECONOMIC DESIGN OF PV/BIOMASS HYBRID SYSTEM FOR RURAL ELECTRIFICATION

Abstract: The distributed generation (DG) today attracts a large interest due to an even increasing demand of energy and the growth of awareness about the impact of conventional energy sources on the environment.  Photovoltaic (PV) and Biomass power are two of the most promising renewable energy technologies. Energy storage system (ESS) also shows enormous potential in future DG applications, due to a fast technology development, high efficiency, environment friendliness and modularity. Hybrid systems encompassing Biomass, photovoltaic and ESS are today revised as a viable solution to overcome the inner unreliability of renewable energy sources. The modeling and control of a hybrid PV/Biomass/ESS system is addressed in this paper. Optimal models for the main system components, namely: Biomass and PV energy generators, battery, are developed and evaluated feasible model with lowest cost of energy and less emission.
